Accepting the Unacceptable

If we are ever to achieve a relationship of any sort with beings from elsewhere, we will certainly need to raise our mental activity to a degree much higher than we have today. The beings that appear to be here on Earth, interacting with us as they do, have the ability to reach inside our minds in some way. They are telepathic, they are extremely intelligent, they know things far beyond the limits of our small-minded reality. In other words, most of us are not ready for them.

Looking at our society today, at our shallow and toxic mass culture, the gross inadequacy of our formal education institutions, the childish discourse of our politics and the culture, I see no major trends that are moving us toward a true higher consciousness on a mass scale. But Disclosure could be the shock that awakens us. After Disclosure, we will see great numbers of people take stock of their lives. They will ask themselves why they have wasted so much of their lives on pointless, petty pursuits. They will set out to make real changes. In other words, Disclosure offers an opportunity for humanity to take charge of its destiny.

That remains the hope. Whereas the final reality may be different, we should always allow ourselves something good to strive for. Emerson understood that “we aim above the mark to hit the mark”. The advent of UFO secrecy has twisted and distorted human civilization far away from its natural course. The ending of that secrecy will not guarantee us a perfect result. We may not fix all of our many inequities and problems. But we may at least take the chance to hit nearer the mark.
